“I sometimes like to turn my big scale artwork into small scale art jewellery pieces. Jewellery then becomes wearable sculpture. The soft lacquer jewellery is made out of a similar material than the golden panels.
The soft lacquer bracelets that took me seven years to develop are made out of woven bamboo and horsehair, coated with layers of lacquer and sometimes gold leaf.This process gives them an astonishing flexibility and lightness.”
