“While I was starting a new work cycle on Jade and Water, I heard of an alabaster quarry in Burma where all the white stone Buddhas are made. The icy-white tones and the lines engraved into the stones struck me deeply.
I decided to work on an alabaster and jade stone, entitled ‘’Ice‘’. The mountains and waves suggested in the stone spark a reflection on places of origin as well as inner and landscapes.Opening a new territory of possibilities, I have since continued to develop a sensitive approach linking our perception of light and movement. ”
